ABOUT US
don't look for happiness, create it
"Being successful doesn't automatically make you happier but being happier, being more positive, makes you more successful."
- Shawn Achor -
The Happy Consultancy Group was born out of our personal journeys to do something truly meaningful in our lives & careers
After years of working hard, striving for success, we began to feel like something was missing. The penny finally dropped for us when we watched Kathryn Temple in 'On Knowing Happiness' (www.soulbiographies.com) - it was time to stop looking for happiness and start creating it.
We set upon an exciting journey to combine our years of experience, our unique strengths, qualities and passions, to create a vibrant, authentic and fun-filled global business we are truly proud of. We've never looked back.
Thank you Kathryn, our inspiration and happiness guide!

HELEN LAWRENCE
I've always had an enthusiasm and passion for people.
Truth be known, animals and children too, but as the saying goes 'never work with animals and children.'
As a team sports fanatic, I discovered an aptitude and passion for leading people and building successful teams. A career in hospitality, HR and Learning & Development over 20 years has enabled me to continue to inspire and help people achieve
great things. How lucky am I?
Who is your biggest inspiration?
My grandad. I always remember him being extremely kind, caring and most of all, funny. He loved making people laugh. Thanks to him, laughter will always be my tonic!
How would your friends describe you?
Bonkers! I've also been described as generous, caring, inspiring and someone who lights up the room when they walk in. I like the last one as I would hate to be someone who lights up the room when they leave!
What makes you happy?
Walking with my husband and dogs in the woods or on a long, sandy beach, working up a sweat in my 'happy place' home gym, travelling, rollercoasters, and collecting and then drinking a wide range of delicious gins!
ANDY FISHER
Ever since I was a child, my mum has said I have a curiosity and a fascination for discovering new things, solving problems, sharing my passions with others and helping those around me.
I guess that partly explains why I have been in Learning & Development for over 20 years. It must be in the genes.
Nothing is more satisfying than being given a challenge and finding a solution that inspires a little bit of change in someone and brings a smile to their face in the process.
Who is your biggest inspiration?
My mum. She's my coach, counsellor, mentor and role model... and she doesn't even realise it. It's just the way she is. And she always has a smile and a hug for anyone.
How would your friends describe you?
Thoughtful, kind, generous, fun-loving, loving, social, loyal, practical and... a little stubborn.
I would like to say funny too but no-one added that to the list when asked!
What makes you happy?
Friends, family (actually just being around good people), music, dancing around the coffee table at home, travelling in style to places old and new, riding the world's fastest rollercoasters and a big G&T made with lots of love.

Happiness is in our DNA.
We believe a happy workplace is the one where people do their very best work... and love their working lives in the process.
We practise what we preach. We are authentic, we're real. We know who we are and have the confidence and courage to let it shine through.
